Career Project USA is A Non Profit Organization.

Since 2010, when Career Project USA has proudly supported working  professionals.  Board President and Founder Jacqueleen Crittle, MS, has been more than just an ICF-certified coach and esteemed former member of the Forbes Coaches Council, she is a powerhouse in career and leadership coaching.

Jacqueleen has remained dedicated to ensuring her team provides professionals with the tools and opportunities needed for success. She also serves as the Chief Executive Officer of Career Doctor, LLC, where she has reshaped the career trajectories of C-suite executives across industries.

Founder Jacqueleen Crittle brings a unique foundation to this work: as a certified ICEA childbirth educator since 2008, with years of experience designing medical school curriculum, and senior health education, training & sales roles across Johnson & Johnson, Alexion, Humana, and Wolters Kluwer. The Maternal Advocate combines that clinical rigor with the high-touch coaching approach that defines our organization.

Career Project USA is more than just a local nonprofit—it’s a powerful catalyst for career fulfillment, providing the professional development and training needed to unlock potential and transform futures.

Mission

Career Project USA equips individuals and families with education, coaching, and training at two of life’s most consequential transitions: the pursuit of meaningful work and the journey into parenthood. We deliver this mission through two complementary programs: Career Project USA, our career and leadership coaching program, and The Maternal Advocate, our childbirth education training program.

Vision

We envision a country where individuals and families have the knowledge, support, and advocacy they need to navigate their most consequential moments with confidence. Through 1:1 coaching, education, and training, we eliminate barriers and create lasting pathways to career fulfillment and maternal wellbeing.

How We Serve

Career Project USA delivers two programs, each designed around depth rather than volume.

Career and Leadership Coaching

A boutique coaching program reserved for just 25 individuals each year. Because transformation requires time, focus, and trust, not scale. Each participant receives four to six months of deeply personalized 1:1 career coaching, immersive professional development, and privileged access to the frameworks, tools, and resources that have shaped executive careers across the country. Partial and full scholarships ensure the right fit, not the right paycheck, determines who walks through our doors.

Eligibility

The Maternal Advocate

Childbirth education training. A holistic program primarily supporting expectant and new mothers, with supportive education for fathers and partners. Delivered through twice-monthly in-person workshops in Illinois and monthly online cohorts available nationally.

Career Project USA is Changing The World of Coaching & Professional Developement

Career Project USA, a nonprofit dedicated to empowering individuals in career elevation and transition by providing access to essential tools, resources, and opportunities for success—regardless of their circumstances.

We believe meaningful change happens when people receive personalized, consistent support which is why we intentionally serve up to 25 participants in our career coaching program each year via subsidized tuition or full-scale program scholarships.

Our coaching model is high-touch and individualized, delivered by one to two dedicated coaches who work closely with each participant. This approach allows us to track progress, adjust support as needs change, and maintain strong outcomes over time.

Although we serve participants nationwide, most clients come from:
  • Chicago
  • Los Angeles
  • New York
  • Texas

We focus on people facing significant employment transitions, including:

  • Outplaced & Unemployed Professionals Facing Hardship – Job loss can be devastating, especially for those without the financial means to access career coaching, reskilling, or networking opportunities, increasing long-term unemployment risks.
  • Early Career Professionals – Many young professionals enter the workforce without structured guidance, leaving them overwhelmed, underprepared, and vulnerable to stagnation.
  • Female Professionals – Women, particularly from marginalized backgrounds, struggle with wage gaps, leadership underrepresentation, and limited access to executive coaching and mentorship.
  • Retired Professionals Returning to the Workforce – Many seasoned professionals face age-related biases, outdated skills, and limited support systems, making it difficult to find meaningful work aligned with their expertise. Some simply want preparation for board seats, in either case we are here to help!

Our Impact Career Project USA By the Numbers

The Career Project USA consistently tracks its impact through pre- and post-coaching surveys, participant feedback forms, employment verification, and engagement analytics. Our qualitative metrics include, but are not limited to, behavioral assessments, self-perception evaluations, and leadership growth tracking. Quantitative metrics include, but are not limited to, Customer Satisfaction Scores (CSAT), job placement rates, workforce return rates, and alumni engagement, ensuring data-driven insights into program success. Quarterly evaluations ensured that programs were refined to meet the distinct needs of our program participants.

Below are a few of our standout 2025 goals and their subsequent outcomes.

In 2025, widespread reductions in nonprofit funding required us to temporarily limit overall enrollment to 20 participants, including early career professionals. This reduction reflected funding constraints across the sector, not reduced demand or diminished effectiveness.

Despite the reduced cohort size:
  • Engagement and retention among early career professionals remained strong.
  • Coaching intensity and individualized support were preserved.
  • Demand for early career services continued to exceed available capacity
As funding stabilizes, we are positioned to restore enrollment levels while maintaining the same level of quality and outcomes for early career participants.

Outcomes and Success Indicators
We track outcomes for early career professionals using workforce-aligned indicators, including:
  • High retention and program completion, reflecting sustained engagement through the coaching cycle
  • Improved employment readiness, measured by job search competency, interview performance, and clarity of career direction.
  • Successful job placement or career-aligned transitions, including full-time roles, contract positions, or structured career pivots
  • Increased professional confidence and self-efficacy, key predictors of long-term career stability
Across our broader program, we have supported more than 1,320 individuals to date, including a significant number of early career professionals navigating employment disruption.
A significant portion of our participants are women, including unemployed mothers re-entering the workforce. These participants often face compounded barriers related to caregiving gaps, career interruptions, and limited access to individualized employment support.

Our program prioritizes:
  • Flexible, individualized coaching that accounts for caregiving responsibilities.
  • Retention-focused support, recognizing that consistency is essential for women navigating multiple demands.
  • Career pathways that support long-term economic stability, not just immediate job placement
Women participants consistently demonstrate high engagement and completion rates, reflecting the effectiveness of a coaching model designed around real-life constraints rather than one-size-fits-all workforce programs.
Our coaching model supports participants in achieving employment readiness, workforce re-entry, and career stability, particularly for individuals navigating unemployment without traditional safety nets.

We track outcomes across the following workforce development indicators:
  • Program retention and completion, reflecting sustained engagement in coaching.
  • Employment readiness gains, including resume quality, interview preparedness, and clarity of career direction.
  • Successful workforce re-entry or job transitions, aligned with participant-defined goals.
  • Increased confidence and self-efficacy, critical predictors of long-term employment stability
To date, we have supported more than 1,320 individuals, many of whom faced barriers such as caregiving responsibilities, age-related employment bias, or sudden job loss without severance.

Below are a few of our standout 2024 goals and their subsequent outcomes.

Make Career Coaching Financially Accessible for professionals across all career stages

Outcome: By the end of 2024, we provided 297 hours of personalized coaching to 122 program participants (~8 hours per participant), removing barriers to access to high-quality career coaching as demonstrated by the estimated cost savings of $415,200, calculated by comparing the total market value of these $475,200 to the $60,000 actual cost of awarded program scholarships.

Expand Access to Career Coaching & Professional Development across all career stages

Outcome: By the end of 2024, we increased the number of program participants by 103% as demonstrated by growth from 60 to 122 individuals served, tracked through participant enrollment records and engagement data. Breakdown of Impact by Career Stage: Early-Career Professionals (1-5years): 32 professionals received subsidized career coaching. Mid-Career Professionals (10–15 years): 66 professionals received subsidized career coaching. Seniors Returning to the Workforce: Trained 30 individuals re-entering the workforce, addressing ageism, market re-entry challenges, and adapting to evolving job market demands.

Improve Employment Outcomes for Those Outplaced or in Career Transition

Outcome: Since launching the Career Catalyst program in 2022 , we’ve maintained a 98% job placement rate within two months of program completion, as demonstrated by verified employment follow-ups.
